Byron Bay Camping Hire - Our gear, your adventure!
Terms & Conditions
For hire outside of festivals- We hire by the day not the night – if you collect on Friday and return on Sunday it will be 3 days hire as we are unable to check, clean and rehire on same day. There are no time restrictions on day of collection or return.
Byron Bay Camping Hire agrees to supply clean, well maintained camping gear - all gear is thoroughly checked when returned and serviced or replaced as needed.
Please understand that you are hiring a tent which does not offer the protection of walls and a roof. Our canvas tents are a quality product but may not withstand high winds or prolonged heavy rain during storms. You may be required to make adjustments and refix tents after wind, rain and storms. Tents are waterproof but do require ventilation to avoid condensation from collecting inside tent.
We do not offer refunds for inclement weather. In some circumstances, outside peak periods, we may, at our discretion, negotiate an alternative date to hire equipment. Festivals & large bookings incur penalties – see below -
All bookings require full payment prior to event. Refund of payments incur the following penalties - $30 administration fee + Within 5 weeks of the event 10% fee, within 4 weeks of event 50%, within 3 weeks of event 75% and within 2 weeks- no refunds!
By accepting these terms and conditions you agree to the cost of up to $500 being debited from your credit card in the event that you damage, destroy or lose the equipment you hire.
Festival bookings must be paid at time of booking – we are unable to allocate tent packages for festivals without full payment.
Security bond is to be paid on arrival at the festival/event & will be refunded if equipment is returned to us in good, clean condition, having been used only for its intended purpose. Refunds are processed within 10 days of collection/return of hire equipment for private hire.
The hired equipment will be returned to us in good, clean condition, having been used only for its intended purpose.
The bond covers the loss, theft, damage (other than normal wear) or cleaning costs if required of the hired equipment.
Your bond will be refunded after we receive and check your returned hired equipment, less the cost of any missing equipment, repair or cleaning, cleaning other than general washing of linen that comes clean in wash, is charged at $50 per hour. The cost of repair or replacement will be charged at market value. If this exceeds the bond money, the Hirer will pay by direct deposit / credit card the balance owing within 14 days. Should the recovery of outstanding monies be warranted, the inclusion of all costs incurred to recover said money including, but not limited to interest accrued, court costs, legal fees etc. will be at the expense of the Hirer.
Byron Bay Camping Co provides mats at entry door of tents and inside the entry door. Please ensure you wipe your feet and place boots /shoes outside/inside the front door (depending on weather).
